1 TO ELECT A CHAIRMAN FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE YEAR 2010/11
2 REPORT OF A CASUAL VACANCY BY THE CLERK
Resulting from the sad death of the Chairman, Robbie, the Clerk will formally report that a casual
vacancy has arisen in the Office of Councillor for Monkton Parish Council.
A Notice of Vacancy has been posted in the Village. If by 30 September 2010, a request for an
election to fill the vacancy is made in writing to TDC by ten electors, an election will be held to
fill the vacancy. Otherwise, the vacancy will be filled by co-option.

5 MINUTES OF PARISH COUNCIL MEETING
To approve the Minutes of the Parish Council Meeting held on 19 July 2010.

7 REPORT OF THE CLERK
The Clerk to report upon any other matters that may have arisen since the despatch of the

To receive a report as appropriate from Mr Hills.
9 MONKTON RECREATION GROUND
(i) Cllr’s John Way and Nick Cole to report on the current situation as a result of their meeting
(plus Clerk) with TDC.
(ii) To agree to amend the lease with TDC so that the Council would have more freedom to allow
public events with the intention of raising revenue inorder to cover the rental demands for the
(iii) To discuss other ways the Grounds may be utilised to raise extra Revenue.
(iv) To agree there should be a rent review every 5 years from 2010 and a capping system to
prevent excessive increases.
(v) To agree that endeavours should be made to extend the lease with TDC as long as possible.
(vi) Agree to meet with Monkton Youth Football Club to discuss the updated events with a view to
amending their User Agreement to incorporate more uses of the Pavilion and Grounds to raise
10 FINANCIAL MATTERS
(a) To note and agree receipts and payments as listed. (Appendix A)
(b) To agree to pay £100.00 to petty cash.
(c) To decide whether the sum of £200 can be donated towards the Monkton Village Ping Pong
Club. The proposal comes from Cllr John Way.
(d) To note successful completion of the external audit.
Public notice was taken down on 18 July 2010.
